Reopening Preparedness Statement

In preparation of Governor Murphy rescinding the moratorium on indoor businesses and allowing for business operations to resume, I am pleased to announce that Terra Salon, LLC (Terra Salon) has designed a customized approach for re-opening in order to protect the health and well-being of our guests, staff and community.

Hygiene and Cleaning

PAL Environmental Services (PAL) has completed a thorough surface treatment of the entire salon.  PAL performed manual surface wet wiping with an United States Environmental Protection Agency (USEPA) approved ethyl alcohol biocide/disinfectant wipe, along with mechanical electrostatic fogging of an USEPA approved anti-viral hypochlorite based product of all common areas, offices, bathrooms and occupied areas including desks, work stations, work surfaces and frequently touchable surfaces (light switches, phones, doorknobs, salon equipment and etc).

The surface treatment was performed in consideration and in compliance with the guidelines provided by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC)Environmental Cleaning and Disinfection Recommendations; Interim Recommendations for US Community Facilities with Suspected/Confirmed Coronavirus Disease 2019 and the Occupational Health and Safety’s (OSHA) Guidance on Preparing Workplaces for COVID-19, OSHA 3990-03 2020.

In addition, while operations are on-going hi-touch surfaces will be disinfected at the start of each day (prior to opening), throughout each day and at the completion of each day (at business closing).  Individual work stations will be disinfected between clients on a regular basis.

Personal Protective Equipment

All employees will be wearing face coverings and gloves while working within the salon.  All clients will be required to wear a face covering – consistent with federal, state and local recommendations in order to enter the salon and for the duration of their service.

Physical Distancing

In order to limit the amount of people gathering within the salon, clients will be requested to wait in their vehicle prior to entering the salon.  A representative of Terra Salon will contact each individual client to coordinate entry into the salon.  Distancing of a minimum of 6-feet between work stations will be maintained at all times.  In addition, each work station will be separated by a plexiglass partition to further protect our clients and staff.

Screening

Prior to entering the salon, all employees and clients will be screened.  The screening will consist of a temperature check via a non-contact thermometer and through the completion of a questionnaire.  The temperature screening and questionnaire will be administered by a representative of Terra Salon.  For the avoidance of doubt, any information collected will remain confidential.

In these unprecedented times, it is ever-important for each of us to prioritize the health of ourselves, our families and our communities.  Your cooperation in adhering to these protocols will allow for us to provide each of our clients with the top-tier service they are accustomed to.  Your continued cooperation and support are appreciated in advance.
